What you might not know is that Active SWV runs a 5K across that same bridge the same morning. Racers hold a jogging pace for the first mile, which is a reasonable ask when you're running across one of the most dramatic structures in America above a 876-foot drop. It's a unique combination of race setting and event atmosphere that doesn't exist anywhere else on the WV outdoor calendar.
